Cross Country or Horseback History Tour

Hunting with Estes Park Outfitters

Estes Park Outfitters, Inc. is the only permitted trophy outfitter in units 20 & 29 of Roosevelt National Forest. We specialize in trophy elk and mule deer hunts.  We have exclusive hunting rights on 2000 acres of private ranch property, along with over 150,000 acres of Roosevelt National Forest, which borders Rocky Mtn. National Park, (a non-huntable area).  And in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area.

 

Archery & Rifle Season

Archery season is roughly four weeks long, during which we offer four separate hunts. All Archery lodge hunts are 5 days long and are 1 guide per 2 hunters. The early Rifle seasons are roughly a month long from the second week of October to the third week of November. During this time we offer four separate hunts. Our Colorado Elk and Mule Deer hunts are fair chase. They are fully guided 1 on 2 during the Archery, Rifle and Muzzleloader seasons.

Specialize in Trophy Elk and Mule Deer Hunts

What makes our area unique and a hunter’s paradise is Rocky Mountain National Park which holds one of the largest concentrations of trophy bull Elk in the Rocky Mountain west. The opportunity to take a 300+ B&C Colorado Bull Elk with us is very high.

*Flagship* High Camp Hunt

This is our fully guided, "one on one", 5-day back-country hunt in Indian Peaks Wilderness area. You will be camping at 10,000 ft and hunting some of the most spectacular country and some of the biggest bull elk in Units 20 & 29. It is not for the faint of heart, this hunt is physically demanding and requires fitness and stamina, however the rewards are great!

 

 

Accommodations

Luxury Lodge

Your hunt includes home cooked meals, beds, full bathroom, satellite TV, cell phone service. WiFi, and vehicle access. The lodge is located at 9200 ft on approximately 20 acres of private property surrounded by Roosevelt National Forest for "right out the door", exclusive hunts nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Drop Camp

For the Colorado Trophy Elk and Mule Deer "do it yourself" hunter, Estes Park Outfitters Inc. also has established drop camps in remote areas of Roosevelt National Forest.  This area has difficult accessibility.  This means fewer hunters in that area.  All drop camps are fully equipped with everything needed for groups of 2 to 4 hunters per camp, except for food and personal gear.
