Snowcat Tours

Estes Park’s only private snowcat tour, an adventure of a lifetime!  Spend time with us meandering through the pines as you climb out of the Estes Valley into a remote section of Roosevelt National Forest. Our daily tour gives you incredible views of the Continental Divide and Estes Park down below. Eventually, you’ll arrive at our favorite overlook at over 9300 ft. where Denver is visible over 45 miles away. Once you arrive at the lodge, you’ll enjoy a scrumptious bowl of our authentic homestead elk chili. You can sit by the fire while taking in all the ambiance this magical place has to offer.  It doesn't get any better than this!

Experience our luxury off-grid lodge for the day, overnight or weekend. The overnight package includes your dinner and breakfast prepared by our on site chef. Afterward settle in, listen to music, or go upstairs to a quiet, refreshing sleep high in the Rocky Mountains and wake to the aroma of coffee brewing and bacon sizzling.

Also during your overnight stay, there is 7 miles of remote groomed trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing right out the front door. Snowshoes and cross-country skis available upon request.

For a few days during the full moon each month, we offer a 5 till 8 pm tour. The reflection of the moon off the snow is breath taking! Not to mention the glow of the lights of Denver.

"After being picked up at the bottom of the mountain, we had a wonderful time traveling through deep snow and pine forests with beautiful views of the Estes Valley, from inside a Snow Cat!"

"The lodge itself is stunning, with open cathedral ceilings, over sized leather furniture, fire places, a huge open kitchen and stunning views of Twin Sisters. Dinner was prepared by Chef Nick and later that evening we went for a "Midnight Run" around the property in the snow cat again. We were lucky enough to see fresh Mountain Lion tracks in the deep snow by a huge moon with the Milky Way twisting about us like a rope in the sky."

"In the morning, we sat on the deck overlooking forests and mountains with no sign of building or man within miles. Peacefully sublime. I can't say enough about our host Tim and Estes Park Outfitters!"
